Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right starting course?
If you’re new to macramé, begin with a beginner pathway such as Essential Knots or First Plant Hanger. You’ll build muscle memory and speed before moving to design-led projects.
What materials do I need?
Most courses list recommended cords and basic tools like scissors, tape, and a dowel. We provide alternatives and sustainability notes in each lesson.
What is a cohort and how is it different from self-paced?
Cohorts include live sessions, check-ins, and peer critiques with mentors. Self-paced courses come with the same structured curriculum without scheduled meetings.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes, after completing assessments you’ll receive a shareable certificate with project highlights and mentor notes.
How long do I retain access?
Self-paced courses include lifetime access to videos and updates. Cohort recordings remain available for at least 12 months.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 7-day refund window for self-paced courses if you haven’t completed more than 20% of the content. Cohort seats are limited; partial refunds are available up to 72 hours before kickoff.
Can I gift a course?
Yes, you can purchase a course seat and assign it to a recipient by contacting support after checkout.
How do favorites (“Fallows”) work?
Click Follow on any course to save it to your Fallows list. Your selections are saved locally on your device and can be managed on the Fallows page.
Is there teacher feedback on my work?
In cohorts, mentors provide scheduled critique. In self-paced tracks, you’ll receive peer feedback in community threads and optional add-on critiques.
